BFA(Beijing Film Academy) is the only film academy in China and the largest film academy in Asia with 263 faculty members and 2364 students, including 48 PhD students, 422 graduates, 1894 undergraduates and 84 overseas students.

Department of Film and TV Technology
The Film and TV Technology Department / China Film High-Tech Institute, was founded on the basis of the Digital Film and TV Lab, which was prepared to construct in June of 2002. The China Film High-Tech Institute was formally founded in March of 2003, and it became the youngest department, Film and TV Department, of the Beijing Film Academy in February of 2005.
